Inspect and Swap Your Tires

Winter driving can be tough on your tires, so start the season with a thorough inspection. Check for uneven wear, low tread depth, or any visible damage that may have occurred during colder months. Spring is also the time to switch back to your all-season or summer tires, allowing drivers to enjoy improved handling, fuel efficiency, and overall performance as the temperatures rise and the road becomes dry.

Check Your Fluids & Top Up As Needed

Your vehicle relies on several essential fluids to operate properly, and winter conditions can cause levels to drop or degrade. Be sure to check and top up fluids such as engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and transmission fluid. If you’ve been taking your vehicle in for regular maintenance, any low fluid has likely already been addressed by a professional technician!

Test Your Battery

Cold weather can weaken your vehicle’s battery, making spring an ideal time to test its health. Look for signs such as slow engine starts, dim lights, or corrosion on the terminals. This is especially important if your battery is old, as the likelihood of electrical problems increase significantly with batteries five years or older.
